GOLDEN MILK POWDER is our original spice blend created for preparing golden milk. Golden milk is an Ayurvedic, warming drink whose main ingredient is turmeric – giving it its characteristic sunny color.
This drink is valued for its anti-inflammatory properties, immune support, easing digestive ailments, as well as its calming and sleep-inducing effects.
It warms and alleviates cold symptoms such as sore throat and cough.
It positively affects skin and bone structure.
Curcumin in turmeric is a powerful antioxidant – it slows down the aging process and reduces the risk of cancer.
Just boil a teaspoon of the mixture in a glass of plant-based milk, sweeten with maple syrup to taste, and add a little extra virgin coconut oil.
If we want the milk to be lighter, we use rice milk, which is naturally sweet. Sometimes we choose thick coconut milk and then we don't add oil. The addition of fat perfectly absorbs the medicinal compounds contained in turmeric.

***People with stomach ulcers or hyperacidity should especially avoid turmeric – the curcumin contained in turmeric irritates the mucous membrane of the intestines and stomach. Golden milk with turmeric should also not be consumed by people with problems with bile duct or liver diseases, as well as those who take blood-thinning medications, as a larger amount of turmeric has a similar effect.
