Certificate: ORGANIC
The beans of this coffee are a carefully selected blend of Arabica beans from the Ethiopian Bonga region.
The coffee was roasted according to recipes created by the Polish Roasting Champion 2018, Rafał Kaniewski.
Ethiopia Tega&Tula is a medium roast coffee with a taste profile featuring apricot, black tea, and marzipan. It is excellently balanced and certified organic by Ekogwarancja.
As an Arabica, it has a milder taste and sweeter notes.
It is perfect as an espresso, but also pairs very well with milk or plant-based beverages.
It will taste great brewed in an espresso machine, pour-over, automatic coffee maker, French press, moka pot, and using traditional methods.
The Tega&Tula farm is named after two nearby villages located close to the farm. The coffee grows at an altitude of 1,693-1,860 meters above sea level and mostly consists of varieties typical for Ethiopia, which have grown here since forever and are collectively known as Heirloom. The trees grow partly in the forest, near the Keffa nature reserve, known as the birthplace of coffee. The fruits are harvested exclusively by hand, and then the coffee is delivered to the mill on the same day. In the first stage, the fruits are placed in water containers for 36 hours. After initial fermentation, they are transported through water-filled channels to the next stage, where the skin and pulp are removed. The final stage is drying, which lasts 7-11 days, depending on weather conditions.
